Viewer Reviews and Ratings
- ★★★★★ | I found it to be quite charming coming from such a big star. The latter part gets a bit predictable but it was Suriya's acting that kept me glued to the screen
- ★★★★☆ | It was truly surprising to see a mainstream movie treating surrogacy with such level of maturity.
- ★★★★☆ | I think the chemistry between Mamitha Baiju and Suriya helps the film maintain its watchability.
- ★★★☆☆ | The first half moves at a breezy pace but the second one had me yawning at times
- ★★★★★ | I truly wish more big name stars would do something as progressive as this one.

Vishwanath & Sons Review: Cinematography, Music & Pacing
Venky Atluri directs a solid mainstream spectacle, full of star power, and GV Prakash Kumar’s music, which sounds perfect for most of the film’s events. The first half is nearly relentless in its pacing, although some may find it too rushed, as it introduces too many subplots and characters. Suriya is charming and effortlessly star-making in his role, with few missteps in his performance. He is slightly less convincing in the dramatic roles, a weakness that has been less noticeable in his previous works. It is hardly an issue for a mainstream entertainer, and the rest of the cast has no issues delivering either. Nassar is especially strong, showcasing his talent as a serious actor.
What I Liked:
Subject Matter: Thematic boldness. The film is much more emotionally developed and daring than most mainstream Hindi cinema is usually willing to be.
Performances: Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s chemistry as the leads.
Tone: The film’s humor, which is showcased in abundance and used in good taste.
